CIRCULAR
Sub.: Fall Semester 2021-22 Continuous Assessment Test-2 for 2021-batch (B. Tech Fresher) students
Continuous Assessment Test (CAT-2) for the courses offered during Fall 2021-22 semester for the students mentioned in the above subject line is scheduled from 8th November – 14th November 2021 as given in the Annexure. Students should read and follow the instructions given below.
1. All the examinations will be conducted as per respective slots of the courses. Students attending classes for their courses in one slot are not allowed to write the examination in another slot.
2. Students should verify the examination schedule carefully and note the date and time for their respective courses. The date and time of the examination of respective courses of the student will also be provided in their V-Top account.
3. All the examinations will be conducted in online mode, using CodeTantra platform. So, students must have good internet connectivity and the writing device completely powered.
4. All the examinations are of open-book type and the student can be allowed to refer to any hand-written/ photocopied/ printed material during the examination.
5. Students are not allowed to refer to any online resources of soft copy of the material in any manner.
6. The syllabus for the examinations will be up to the content discussed before the start of examinations. The general format of the question paper contains descriptive/numerical/design etc., type of question for all the courses, except for soft skill courses.
7. Soft skill course examinations will be conducted through V-Top, as mentioned in the annexure.
8. The maximum mark for all the courses is 50 except for soft skill courses which are being conducted on V-Top for which maximum mark is 40.
9. The duration of all the examinations in CodeTantra platform is 110 minutes, including the uploading time of the images of all the answer papers, and the duration for all the soft skill course examinations is 60 minutes from the start time of the examination mentioned for a particular slot in the annexure.
10. The code of conduct for necessary guidance and instructions on the platform will be circulated to the students. All the students must compulsorily follow the instructions given in the code of conduct.
11. The student should turn on the webcam and mic during the entire period of the examination. The webcam should clearly focus the entire table, where the student is writing the examination, for the invigilator/proctor to have a clear view of the student face to the writing area.
12. Students should keep all the necessary stationery items including A4 white sheets, pens, calculators etc with them and should not move out from the webcam view for any reason.
13. Students are suggested to use mobile phone camera to scan & upload the answer pages of every individual question into the examination platform, as soon as they complete answering it, to avoid any kind of technical issues at the end moment of the examination.
14. Students are strongly discouraged to use the last 5 minutes of time to write any answer, to avoid the last minute rush in uploading the answer paper.
15. No student will be given an extension of the examination period.
16. Any kind of malpractice by the student during the examination will be treated seriously and disciplinary action will be initiated
